- During days 1-7 (at your own pace) read chapters 1 and 2 from Joining Jesus on His Mission.
- After days 1-7, meet with your small group and follow the back-of-the-book discussion guide for SESSION 1.
"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." (John 1:14a NIV)
- What does it mean to you to know and believe that God through His Son Jesus became flesh and made His dwelling among us?
- What further impression does John 1:14 from The Message give you - "The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood"?
- Finke writes in Chapter 1, "...in order to join Jesus on his redemptive mission, we need to actually be with (dwell with) people who don't yet know him." Think about whom you live by, whom you work with, those in your community with whom you cross paths with regularly. Who are you dwelling among? Write these names down. Begin praying for these individuals daily that they would one day know Jesus as you do.
